Hey cats,

I'm going to be doing two hits in NYC with Mike Stern on the 8th and 10th of May. The 8th will see Gary Husband on drums and May 10th will feature Lionel Cordew. Come through and hang at the 55bar (55 christopher street and 7th ave)

sets are at 10pm and 11:30pm. $15 including two drinks!

Peace,

Janek

Wish I could check it out (I'm in Detroit). Have fun... what an experience to play with Stern. Is it your first time doing that?

I've heard Mike a number of times, most recently a few years ago with Mike Pope, and a few times earlier with James Genus.... he always puts on a great show, and is very cool with the audience, sticking around after the show, talking to players, etc.

Awesome!

That's great man. I wish you a great gig with a great player.
What kind of music will you play?
Mike is Mr. Gig! Love it.

Oh man, I've seen that gig many many times, usually with either Jeff Andrews or Lincoln Goines on electric bass or Harvie Swartz on upright.
You must be a mutha****a to get that gig, and congratulations for it!
I will try to check a set out.

Dude, thats Janek Gwizdala.........
Yeah, he's a mutha&ucka alright. You guys should check out his "MySpace" for a few clips. (signed him up as a friend a while back!)

We should be so lucky to have him posting around here.
I mean, the dude had Randy Breaker in HIS band!! How many of us can say something like that!!!

He should be in the "Ask the Pro's" section.

And whats up with the E-C tuning thing you NY guys are doin'!??!!!

Thanks for coming around Janek!!!!!

thanks for your comments guys.

last night was great with Mike and Gary and I get to do it all over again tomorrow with Lionel on drums. A lot of cats came out to the 55bar as always and it was packed. Mike and Gary played their hearts out and I heard Stern play some **** beyond anything I heard before. It was great to be a part of. We're talking about doing some stuff on the road now with this trio so I'll keep you all posted.

Also about to start work on a new solo project with Wayne Krantz and Steve Jordan so I'm extra excited about that one.

Peace,

Janek
