I think that sound is why you see so many SVT's/8x10's in live shows. 300 Watts of thump. I have been a fan of that SVT sound for many years.

? I could barely hear the bass and what I could hear wasnt great IMO. Most likely just the youtube compression but still.

i couldn't hear much bass at all but maybe that's because of my macbook speaker's and youtube compression. all thing aside....dub trio is definitely a great band. i found out about them when they played a track with mike patton on peeping tom's debut record.

That was pretty cool, but I don't really think highly of that bass-tone. It was pretty boring. I think he could've least have turned up some more treble, he was barely noticeable.

Your conception of good reggae bass tone and mine are at opposite ends of the tonal spectrum.....

I appreciate chest thumping reggae bass as much as the next bloke, but this is not a good example.... AT ALL
