HOLY CRAP

I was getting tired of not getting a good tone. I was hoping the problem wasn't my Orange Terror Bass, or even my beloved jazz bass.

I then decided to change my strings to a new set of D'addario EXL170's. Whew. My Lord.

I forgot how much new strings breathe new life into a bass.

You might be asking why this isn't in the strings section?

Well, in addition to the string change, I decided to mess with my Orange's settings.
I dialed back the bass a bit and cranked the gain to about halfway.

HOLY CRAP.

New strings + new amp settings = epic bass tone.

I am so happy right now. BYAH!

I'm posting this in the bassists forum for several reasons:

I just wanted to inform you that the Orange Terror Bass is an epic head.
I just wanted to inform you that the Fender Classic 70s Jazz is an epic instrument.
I just wanted to inform you that the Bergantino bass cabs are heavenly.

The end.

Anyone have similar revelations?
