How can i set up my bass like Wayman tisdales

I have a Fender American Standard Jazz Bass Guitar with no modifications and i am using a roland Micro cube (the biggest one they make). how can i get my bass to sound like wayman tisdales preferably like it sounds on the song front runna ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUo8Jw5alf4 )

You can gut your mids, get some DR highbeams, drop your action to pick up some buzz and dig in HARD but...

There are a million GREAT tones in a jazz bass, that ain't one of them.
He's got the definitive Tobias full of Bartolini tone.

I'd bet it'd be close to $400 to put that electronics package into the Jazz.

Yeah, Tobias, MTD, Skjold, or something like that is needed to really nail that tone.

That's a piccolo Bass(tuned up one octave from regular bass tuning)try piccolo bass strings on your bass
