Sign in to disble this ad
Man I've always respected Larry Graham, one of the most infuential players of all time. But having seen him recently suporting prince, and having seen the recent Warwick adds, I just keep getting completly bowled over at just how cool he is, and still is after all these years!!

here he is in a recent add, its amazing how he out flamboyant's Bootsy and TM Stevens, whilst still looking quite formal, and smart!

I want his wardrobe! lol

I think from June 2011, I'm not sure if he's using Their Basses exclusively, but I know he's been using their Hellborg Amp System, since June.

It was hard to tell from where I was standing but it looked like he had a white Jazz bass, and a white streamer on stage, but I could be wrong!

actually I just checked my photo's and its a moon bass he's playing not a jazz, I could have sworn he was playing a streamer at some point too... I had had a few beers by this point though!

I used to think he was a pioneering but superceeded player, but I checked out some vids a few years ago, and the guy is a MONSTER.

Look up his solo on youtube (playing with Graham Central Station). It's mindblowing!

this was the show I saw him at, I wish the video was longer, at one point he was up on the barrier playing in the crowd, and he was playing some drums also!

unfortunately I was right on the far side of the stage with my family, so I couldn't see that well, even with the big screens!

Agreed Larry is the man! I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of years ago and he's such a dude!

He's playing in London in November so I can't wait!

How can he look cool and stylish in a purple suit that would make anyone else in existence look like a pimp?

I saw Larry Graham Back in the 60's with Sly, and also later with Graham Central Station. It seems he hasn't aged a bit. He has always been the man, and his playing is still mind blowing.

Great player? Check
Great singer? Check
Great style? Check

Whenever I'm not having a great day, for whatever reason, I'll pull up the Graham Central Station video for "Pow" and it's like I've hit some sort of cosmic reset button. That song always makes me laugh, then smile, then leaves me feeling dumbfounded at the level of musicianship.

I love this vid. Bootsey and the other dudes are all dressed in outlandish outfits, and up walks Larry Graham in a suit and a fedora, straps on a bass, and blows away the crowd. Like the Godfather or something. Nice.

To rip off Anselm of Canterbury's proof for the existence of god, Graham is "That than which nothing cooler can be imagined."

Think of the coolest thing possible.

LARRY GRAHAM IS EXACTLY AS COOL AS THAT.
