How do bassist Implement their style of music in their band?

Sorry if this is the wrong place but I need to ask

How do you bassist of TB implement your style of music into what you play?

Like I know guitarist and drummers can do this, but is it possible for bassist to be able to do this?

thanks

I think you need to try to clarify the question.
Its an instrument just like the others...I don't see why they would be able to.

I kinda do that thing with my band. We play Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen and a couple of other hard rock songs from other bands. I improvise a lot and always seem to add style that I love to listen to and play at home. I'm a huge Alderete fan so I often play Mars Voltaish licks and riffs and fills, fast runs etc. Hell I even do a Day of the Baphomets bass solo on stage now and then. David Sims is another great example of whose style I admire. I also tend to add a bit of funkier flavor a la Flea, especially on Hendrix songs. I'm rather a violent player so I bang the **** out of my bass and love to do some filthy garage style rock. Let me tell you, Led Zeppelin mixes friggin great with some The Mars Volta licks.

Listen to a lot of early BS&T Jim Fielder laid down a might wide groove for the rest of the band to follow.
