How do you think Steve Harris wrote his songs?

The songwriting credits for songs such as fear of the dark, hallowed by thy name and aces high are solely Harris'

The songs are all very guitar driven. Ive always wondered if Harris only came up with the bassline and vocal melody/lyrics or did he actually come up w the guitar parts himself. Any Maiden fans care to share?

Why is bass better than guitar? Because you can't play 'Hey there Delilah' on bass.

According to Early Days DVD, Steve sings guitar/vocal parts and other members learn them!

If you mean inspiration, I think it's equal parts ale, football, the British Museum's current special exhibit, and the Beatles.
