I've been playing since high school, about 1972 or 73.

Check here under my name for a sample.

Remember, you're going to make more progress by looking in front at where you want to go, rather than behind you to see where you stand in relation to others.

ya know ed...i think I might start learning how to play music like that. Ive been holding myself back to rock, r&b, metal etc...I think playing a differnt style might help somewhat.

23 years.. Wish my ability reflected the time I've spent on the instrument.

Same here, Mark. I've been playing bass since high school (25 years or so), and whatever abilities are purely incidental from having had my hands on one of the darn things for so long. Imagine if I'd spent all those years actually working at it!

I started playing with an actual electric on Christmas Day, December 25, 1975. That's when I started playing the bass my mother gave me for Christmas. The first song I learned was Donna Summers, "Love to Love You Baby." The first bassline I ever learned was "Heartbeat" by War ffrom their album, "Why Can't We Be Friends."

Considering my relative lack of accomplishment, I'm kind of embarrassed by my lack of development of the years.

About 7 years but the most recent samples I have is from over 2 years ago:

http://artists.iuma.com/site-bin/mp3..._Lie_To_Me.mp3

http://artists.iuma.com/site-bin/mp3...d_-_Victim.mp3

http://artists.iuma.com/site-bin/mp3...owded_Room.mp3

Does anyone know of any websites that have free MP3 hosting?

Im kooking for something kind of like www.photobucket.com, but for MP3s.
