G'day everyone
As part of my Year 12 Design and Technology HSC Major Design Project (in Australia) im doing a survey on how many bassists are male, and how many are female, and also your general age group.
All participation is greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

You have to be careful when formulating your claim from the poll results, though, as TB is by no means a "reliable", testable source and the results will not actually reflect "how many bassists are male, and how many are female, and also your general age group". This poll will tell you how many people claim to be a certain age and sex. More than anything, the results will reflect the claimed characteristics of the people spending the most time on the computer noticing and replying to this thread.

Just a bit more information on this..
Im creating an interactive bass guitar magazine which is going to include samples from as many basses and effects pedals as I can get, as well as photos, information, possibly reviews, and maybe articles on techniques and playing styles.
However, we're mostly getting marked on the design side of the project, such as the graphics and design of the magazine, not so much the content.
The first part of it involves doing some marketing research, which is why im doing these surveys, and I thought that talkbass would be a much better place to survey people, rather then the very few bassists in my school.
So once again, thanks for all the input, and keep watch, as (unfortunately?) there may be more surveys to come.
Cheers! |

i'd have to agree, as an under 20 female bassist. i don't even know any other girls who are actually dedicated players and want to excel in it. |
