He plays for The Roots and I believe he mainly uses Fenders. He seems to always have a chewstick in his mouth when he plays and I heard he graduated from Carnegie-Melon with a degree in classical bass.

lol. i know the basics:roots, chewstick, and classical background. i also know that he lives not too far from me. ive been listening to the roots for about ten years. fill me in on his technique and note choices (i know some but wanna know how ya'll feel)

Probably a licorice root, which helps with upset stomach and sore throat.

he's a less is more kinda guy. he doesn't fill space, he just plays what needs to be played and that's it. very solid groover and stays outta the way.
