Hulk Hogan

Yes, I didn't realize this until I found a video of him jamming (I think at Sturgiss Bike Rally). Apparently Hulk Hogan is a bassist, or rather, before he became a pro wrestler, a gigging bassist in local Florida bands. I You Tubed some clips, and found several of him playing. What do you guys think of his playing, our of curiosity?

I cannot at the moment. But if you go to YouTube and type in "Hulk Hogan bass", you will find them.

He was also in Hulk Hogan and the Wrestling Boot Band. They were pretty much the best. One of their songs, "The Littlest Hulkster" is about a kid who died trying to recreate a Hulk Hogan stunt. Here's a link:

Scroll down and they've got a few songs on there.

I read his biography, and he mentions that it was fretless that he played.

Yup, Terry Bollea was a bass player long before he was Hulk Hogan.

Man, he's had a couple bad years as of late. Glad to see he can get out of the house and have some fun.

I wonder if he's on TB? That would be pretty sweet.

OMG, I remember the Wrestling Boot Band when I was a teeanger, and used to watch WCW on TBS. I totally remember the song "The Littlest Hulkster". It starts out as a tribute to this dying child, but ends up being more of a song about Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania, with little focus on the kid. I didnt know he played bass on that but I knew about it. And there was another song called "I wanna Be a Hulkamaniac" that Kevin Sullivans brother, Evad, used to come to the ring to, when he dressed up like Hogan.

Also, American Made was Hogans entrancre theme. It sounded just enough different than Rick Derringers Real American, not to get sued by the WWF.

There's apparently an interview with him from a couple of years back where he discusses wanting to play with either Metallica or the Rolling Stones:

Hulk Hogan: bass player for hire

There's something kinda sweet/sad/cheering about the giant, massively-successful wrestler who just wants to play bass in a band (although he probably would have had better luck with other bands than those two, admittedly).

Also, there's at least one video out there if you google "hulk hogan bass", but the sound quality is terrible...I couldn't really hear him playing.
