I've seen Yes quite a few times. My favorite concert was the 2002 Classic tour. Man they just kicked ***. Sounded just like the Yes of old. Squire is a bass God.

RE Squire: I saw the Masterworks show. Bass and everything else was great.

RE Palmer: Tempo? Hard to imagine, but I'll dig out my Asia and ELP albums later today and "check for errors". I don't know that ELP's music is meant to "groove", but his playing suits the band perfectly. I like Asia too.

I was a huge ELP fan back in the day. I was not a fan of Carl Palmer with Asia for many of the above stated reasons. When they did their reunion tour a few years ago, my bud got the FOH sound gig for the tour. They rehearsed in a club here for a week, and did their kick off show there as well. My opinion changed that night. CP stole the show. He flat out killed on some of those Asia classics. Long story, but I did get to meet him on another occasion, when ELP also rehearsed here for a reunion tour. (a private show for about 100 people in an old warehouse) He was quite, but as nice a person as you would want to meet. A real gentleman. One very cool moment was when a young boy came up to talk with him about drumming. It was as the world stopped. Carl immediately turned 100% of his focus to this boy, and treated him like he was the only person in the room. You think that left an impression? I'm a fan!

Did Squire have an tights and a flowing cape? If not he should have!

Saw Yes 3 times. Great shows.
