| | | | ^It really is not that hard to play, it just sounds hard. the verses and chorus are fairly simple. That bass intro, if you can just play along to it, it won't take long to figure it out. Also, he plays it different on the album. |

Ozzie's teleprompter, the memory loss is great with that one.
Wonder if he derails and rambles like <insert name here> when his breaks?

+! for NIB not that hard off ofhte album, I think live he flashes it up a bit. As for the intro/solo, I am pretty positive I can't play it like he does on the album, but I can pull a pretty decent facsimile. Most people don't seem to notice what you are doing until you come in with the opening line.

I started playing bass in 1985 because of Steve Harris (Maiden - of course) , but Geezer was definitely on of my early bass heroes along with Chris Squire (Yes). Shortly after that I discovered Rush and Geddy Lee and was permanent(ly) (Wave) hooked. I also admired (The Ox) John Entwhistle's playing even though I never cared much for The Whos music.
Back to the topic of Geezer. Did anyone ever check out his solo album from back in the mid 90's called "Black Science". Way different from Sabbath , but it's got a nice heavy groove that I find to my liking. There is only one song on the whole disk that I don't care much for (Unspeakable Elvis) , but that a very good ratio of good to bad songs - I wish I could say that about all the other CD's that I own.

I just don't understand that. I mean, I get it abstractly, I just can't imagine what not liking them would be like.

Irritating, but sadly common practice these days (see the recent live Down DVD).
Still, Geezer is the man.
