I heard a TBer mentioned outside the internet!

I was picking up some tiny strings for one of my guitars at the local shop. The manager is a bass player and we always chat a bit whenever I go it. Today he asked me how the new tuning (I recently moved by 5 string from low A to high Bb) was working out. I told him I liked it but kinda missed the A, if only I had an amp that could go that low with decent tone.

Then he told me about "this guy named Jean Baudin who plays a bass tuned to a low C...or something" and that I should really try to find some of his playing because it was awesome.

I laughed and told him I'd heard of Jean though this place, hopefully he'll be coming to check out TB in the near future.

It was kinda amusing.

So, if you´ve never seen Jean in action, check this 2 videos.

9-string tapping video - Bach

Just amazing (as usual)

Another regular apparently plays a 7 string tuned to F# and mentioned Jean during a discussion of extended range bassists.
