Hey guys, quick question. What bass does the bassist for The Roots use on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon? I don't have any pics of it, but if you've seen the show I am sure that you know what I am talking about. Thanks!

The new Roots bassist is Owen Biddle, and I believe he's using Callowhill basses.

Edit...found this.

Yep. That's a Callowhill.

He got another Callowhill after that one, but I'm not sure how much he's using it on the show (haven't watched lately)--white with a tort guard, I think. Check the Callowhill thread in Basses for more info.

Guilty as charged. Junk 5, Junk 6, and custom OBS6 30" scale. The oly white OBS6 is his main bass. It was our take on spinning our flagship MDM with an EBO and a Burns bass.

Any affiliation with Callowhill?

I love the (J)unk basses.. I will have one someday, as my name is Jordan, and I used to be Junk.

That's Bob Callowhill...or Jim Callowhill...

either way, you just heard from the luthier.

PS, www.callowhill.net doesn't work.

My name isn't Bob or Jim, and my last name isn't CallowHill, but it, uh... kind of is my company I guess.

Callowhill.net got switched to www.callowhillguitars.com. Same boring site, new address. The specs on Owen's bass are fairly complicated, he posted about them on here somewhere previously...

I know that, Frank.

You still have callowhill.net in your profile, unless you've changed it in the last few minutes.

I've been wondering the same thing. I thought maybe a custom Roscoe or something. That is one sexy bass!
