I need some constructive criticism for my bass covers.

YouTube - Red Hot Chili Peppers - Around the World Bass Cover

I hardly ever get any comments on my videos, and when I do, I get stuff like "Is that a fender or squier?" and "my sisters boyfriend has that bass", and, I don't mean to sound rude, but these comments have no benefit for me whatsoever. So I thought this would be the best place to come to for some solid, fair criticism. Is my timing good? What are my strengths/weaknesses? What should I work on in order to become a better bassist? etc.

We just did this with you. Did magically fix everything in a day?

Your Around the World cover is pretty far off the mark. Did you listen to it and think that it sounded like the recording?

My same comments from your other video post still apply. Your intonation needs a lot of work and your timing it all over the place.

I think you just need to play more to become a better bassist. Really listen to the songs and lock your part in instead of playing "over" top of the song. Playing with some real people would probably benefit you a lot.

i think you're playing is fine for the style you're into ...sounds like mostly power pop / punk to me ....there's only so much you're gonna get out of that sort of thing...if you wanna be a better bassist..toss the pick and learn some tunes with your fingers ..
