I don't think Bongo's saying you're a fool, I think he's merely pointing out that every human being's psychological nature is to build his own perseption of reality around him, and no one is immune to this phenomena.

I get that you are really sincere in wondering what is going on in the song. |

Anyway, I'm curious to find this thread from six months ago that you guys are talking about. I couldn't find it from Phalanx's profile. Was it deleted, maybe?

It's kool for some one to not like what I do because I'm more than sure that for most who don't get it today that if they're true within themselves they'll revisit it at some point. |

I grew up listening to Yes, ELP, Miles, Ornette, John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, Hendrix, King Crimson, Jethro Tull, early Genesis and was considered by my peers to be a little strange because I didn't see things in FM radio terms or dance to the beat of the day. I've seen him perform several times and totally love what he does. But again "Everything ain't for Everybody". As for I like it.

I checked them out a while ago based on his rep as a player. I like all kinds of progressive, technical, and avant-garde music, but I don't find it very tasteful.
Obviously Jauqo is a very skilled player, and I respect his abilities, but it doesn't sound like they're playing as a group. It's just some individual unrelated wanking. I actually think the guitar playing is the worst of all of it.
Sorry.

Sorry to disappoint you. We are playing as a group. The main objective was to allow a freedom within a context where me and the drummer could maintain our traditional role and help assist the guitar players paint their pictures. The music in those video clips where not made up as we went along, there is a concept behind it.
And please with all due respect I play do play safety zone music when needed.
Does any one actually think I would play like that in a Pop, R&B, Rock, Soul, etc context? |
