just been listening to some Iced Earth and wanted to say i really liked the bass playing on all their records, especially burnt offerings and night of the stormrider. the latter being one of my favourite albums of all time.
although dave wasn't really fancy or uber technical, he was quite solid, and i really like his playing, especially on songs such as Burning Oasis. Steve DiGiorgio also did some playing for iced earth on the horror show record, which is also quite nice.
anyone have anythoughts on the topic? or does anyone know what dave abbel did after he left Iced Earth?
