So lately Ive been anxious to jump to the next level in my playing, and i feel its coming because im hearing things differently, and im starting to see how they work inside my head. I really would like a mentor though, I had some really good ones over the years but no one that has really been there for a while or carried me immediately to new heights.
Heres the question, if you could have any mentor, living but not limited to bassists who would you pick. And take note, many of my previous mentors have gotten me into gigs, so say victors your pick, a bela gig might be on the horizon...just a thought for consideration.
Mine is JANEK GWIZDALA, he rip me new ones on a minutely basis
A couple of backups
Kai Eckhardt
Richard Bona
Pino

Super nice guy and very kind I have no doubt he would be easy to study with and he is a slamming bassit. And, he actually does teach in Waldorf, MD. http://www.bassology.net/

I have been a huge Rush fan since I was 12 and love his playing style.
Also, we both live in Toronto and also both of us are fine wine fanatics.

Awesome guy, great teacher.... | I have heard this often enough that when I am visiting my father in NW IN next time, I plan on making the trek to West Lafayette to take a lesson. I haven't been there since graduating from Purdue a couple of years ago.

Also, Geddy Lee and Mark King would be awesome! By the number one for me would be Jonas Hellborg, for spiritual guidance as well as music lessons. |

I've got all of his teaching resources but as long as we're talking about live lessons...he's the one for me and he's doing the work I would want to do if I was a pro. |
