She's a working session bassist in NYC area, gets some high profile gigs, nothing revolutionary about her or her playing, just another working professional.

That sheds a bit more light on it thanks.

Never thought she was bad, but I never was like WOW! you know?

Still, more props to her for being hotter than me and more successful than me.

Tal's got charisma which is a natural talent and she doesn't overplay.

Most of us just plain don't have it, doesn't matter how many notes you can cram into a bar or how fancy you get on your instrument, most of it just becomes a lot of noise.

Less is more and the natural take over period.

Not many. However, I don't know many good male bass players either. She definitely plays circles around me.

I haven't heard much of her besides that Crossroads DVD and a few random tracks. I thought she was good, but not great. Not saying I'm better, but I know people locally that IMO play better than her. I'll give her myspace a listen though.

I personally know a lot of bassists, and while the overwhelming majority of them are male, most of the good ones have boobs. And they aren't moobs.

I must say that so far I like her solo's better then a lot of the bass "gods" we get so excited about. She is very melodic and not as busy as a lot of players, but she still has chops. Kind a like younger way hotter Will Lee. And I've always liked that curly haired Jewish princess look anyway. But damn it like most here I could be her father.
