I'm nervous about talking to James East

James East is the brother of the famous studio bassist Nathan East. I'm a college student. My aunt, a friend of James since they grew up together, was telling me about James when I saw her around christmastime. She gave me his phone number for some reason, but I never used it because I didn't know why I should, but today, about two weeks later, she asked why I never called him and told me that he's been expecting a call from me since the day she gave me his number. I suppose I should call him, since he has apparently been waiting for a call from me, though I'm not sure why he would want to talk to me or what we will even talk about. And it's a bit intimidating, wouldn't you say? Regardless, I don't know what I'll do, beyond calling him, of course...

Do some research on him ask your aunt what she knows about him I know his brother I can't say I know him it should be a casual conversation.

I just spoke with James... he's willing to chat, but it's probably going to cost you.
And the longer you wait, the more he's going to charge, so call soon !!

This is also scary. Did I mention I'm a college student?

Yes you did and that means you must be intelligent just have a simple conversation talk to your aunt maybe he was goofy back in the day and he picked his nose constantly that will put you more at ease

James called me today and we chatted a bit about our gear, influences, etc. He started asking about the original band I play in and resolved to check out our music and come to see us play live later this month. He's a really nice guy, I really had no reason to be nervous, I guess.
