i still prefer Dirk's playing. Ben is a great player and i have no doubt he can play most, if not all of what Dirk could. The difference is that Dirk wrote the bass lines for my favorite incubus tunes and and both the ben and the band have gone a different direction than the band was during the S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and Make Yourself days.

Personally I prefer the early stuff and like Dirk's playing and writing style more than Ben's. I still like his playing but it's like trying to compare Wooten to Jamerson - both excellent, but completely different types of player.

yea cant really hear anything but there are other videos where hes playing the older stuff with a 5 string lakland at the same show

In the other videos it looks like he's rocking 55-49(02's?) and a 44.

Well, I'm seeing them on 7/21/09 in Chicago. Outdoors at the Charter one pavilion. It should be awesome seeing/hearing them outdoors.
