Interview Rocco Prestia
If you could ask Rocco Prestia anything, what would you ask?

I would be curious how he approaches composing his bass lines. Does he just go by ear, or does he sit down looking at chord changes and thinking about construction? Basically wondering how much of his approach is based on just what he may hear in his head versus his knowledge of chord construction.

Mimi tells him what to play. He has no formal training, its all feel. And what a feel.

If his perfect tireless string to string 16th note staccato was natural or did he have to develop it ? I've heard him explain his left hand, or more accurately, left arm technique, which is totally unique to him as far as I've seen.
