So according to many sources say Victor Wooten started playing in front of crowds at the age of six. Yet i have never seen video or picture evidence of this.

thus I can conclude that Mr. Wooten is a robot built by Nazi Scientists in an effort to make every bassist want to quit playing their instruments every time they see a video of said robot playing.

I guess the OP was a round-about way of asking if anyone can point to any footage of Victor when he played as a kid? (I would love to see this too!)

Didn't he (and his brothers) open for Curtis Mayfield?

I picture the Wooten Brothers (as kids) as an underground instrumental version of the Jackson 5. Question is, which Jackson would Victor be?

let's see...the nazis, who were racists, built a black robot bass player to make people want to stop playing bass? makes perfect sense to me.

Fuel for hatred, in this case, racism? Does make sense.

Once upon a time, Bass Player did have a photo of a very young Victor playing a Unixox Beatle bass with his brothers. I would say he was under 10-years old in that photo...FWIW, I did see the Wooten Brothers sometime in 1975 & it hurt.

The demise of the nazi party pre-dates the public unveiling of the first electric bass by a few years. Could it be that it was secretly invented by them to counter the world's funniest joke that was killing their troops(see Monty Python for explanation)?

I first played bass in front of people at age 12, but you sure wont find a video of it anywhere.

How exactly do you hold a bass at age six?

Seeing a good player wants to make me play more, not quit.
