| Wilton Felder is playing on "I Want You Back", probably on all of the tracks produced by "The Corporation." I know Ron Brown was used on a lot of stuff, and Tony Newton is playing on "I Wanna Be Where You Are." (Michael solo). One credit that has been widely inaccurate is that Chuck Rainey in playing on "Dancing Machine." It's very possible that he may have played on a demo version, but that is an L.A. bassist named William Salter, who actually played on most of the Dancing Machine album. The part is somewhat rhythmically similar to Chuck's part on "Rock Steady" by Aretha Franklin, so that also fueled the rumor, IMO. To my knowledge, Jamerson is only playing on "Darling Dear" and any of the stuff that Bobby Taylor produced, which can be found on the compilation CD from 1995 entitled "Soulsation." Cd #4 contains a the first batch of ever increasing unreleased material. It's believed that the J-5 recorded somewhere around 300 tracks while at Motown. Roughly 150 have seen the light of day, so that means there's a whole bunch of stuff that we haven't heard.
