Ok, I have the choice in April, within the same week, to see both but can only see one. I know there be many Tal fans out there...likewise there be Jack fans. TELL ME:

I vote Bruce--Tal will be gigging for at least 30 more years. I am not sure i can say the same for Bruce! Might as well see a bass god while he is still around right?

Ive been digging more and more into Jeff Beck and most, if not all, is without Tal but ive been listening to Jack Bruce w/ Cream for ever.

It depends on who Jack Bruce is playing with, if it is with some classic musicians like Ginger Baker then i would be in a pickle about deciding but its probably not, so Jeff Beck all the way.

Jack is certainly a legend and a very talented player and composer.

Jeff Beck is a true genius, any chance to see him shouldn't be missed . I saw him play with both Clapton and Paige
( ARMS concert) and he blew them both off the stage, they were both just shaking there heads.

I love them both-But Beck's a modern day Marvel that just keeps getting better and better and and reinventing himself...I think Jack is slipping the past 5 years or so....Jeffs live shows are Jaw-dropping-I never miss a chance to see him...Peace...DAcat

Having to choose, I would go and see Jack. Not a musical decision, more logistics. Jack probably doesn't/can't tour as often as Jeff, so he's probably harder to catch live.

Both are icons in music.

I seen Beck in 2006 with Pino / Vinnie. (great show)
I think Beck is great with whoever is playing bass.

But this is a Bass forum.
And Jack Bruce is a bass god. (see Jack)

If you're seeing Jeff for Tal, see Jack.
If you're seeing Jeff for Jeff, then it's a harder choice...

As good as she is, Tal isn't why I'd go see Jeff Beck. I'd see Jeff Beck because he's mercurial, he's the most vocal and emotive electric guitarist I've heard, and he's a genius with tone and manipulating a chunk of wood and metal to make it sing.

Jack ain't no slouch either, and his voice is the most amazing instrument in the world for me. Tough choice, but I'd opt for Jack because he's a bit older, and his health hasn't been as good Jeff's.

beck. And not for Tal . JEFF is the reason. Tal isn't a feature, she's backline. But JEFF is the freakin' man!

I'd be seeing Jeff for Jeff. Tal doesn't really float my boat. Not to say she isn't amazing.
I heard Jack might be with Vernon Reid, which would be interesting. Tough choice.

Ahh that logic doesnt make since to me, how could it not be a musical decision when your going to a concert? Thats like buying a squier because its a limited time anniversary model at the same price of MIA Fender. what would you have a "rare" bass or a quality bass?

But then again im a hypocrite because i bought Dead tickets even though i know that Warren Haynes is up there on the list of total anti-Jerry. But I do love Phil Lesh.
