Jaco Pastorius with Ian Hunter

I hadn't heard this track before so in the spirit of the season I thought I should share it in case I wasn't the only one. Make sure to check out Jaco's solo starting at 1:19.

Peace and Happy Holidays to all!!!

First time I've heard Aynsley and Jaco together. What a rhythm section! Powerhouse all the way!

Ya it's crazy, I am a big fan of both Ian and Jaco but for some reason I never heard this track. Gotta love youtube for the unforeseen discovery aspects of it I guess.

What a cool bass solo! For that matter, a totally cool track. This was really off the radar for me as by 1976 I had stopped listening to anything but jazz.
Funny though, I knew of Jaco but have never seen this in any of his discographies.
I think I'll go buy this album.

If WikiPedia is to be trusted he's now 71 (and a half).

Can't argue there!

As they say: "Takes one to know one" (and I should know...)

Anyway, it's a bit mind blowing that Ian Hunter is older than Paul McCartney. I'd have never guessed that!

It's the only album I can remember Jaco getting a credit for playing guitar too. [one song]

Jaco plays on every track except on "Restless Youth" where Chris Stainton handles the bass. Jaco plays guitar on "God (Take 1)". It's all there, written in the album sleeve or cd booklet.
Are you people too busy listening to the music that you forget to read the liner notes?

Not a really clear tone is it? Especially on the solo.
