I have his album, Panic Prevention. Although I'm led to believe he's a bassist, it doesn't really come out in this album. Certainly not any acoustic bass on there that I've picked up on?? The bits of bass that are easy to pick out on the album are more basic punky plectrum type stuff.

His music has been compared to The Streets for it's gritty urban style and lyrical wordplay.

I think it's a great debut album but I'd say definitely don't buy it expecting really good acoustic bass playing. Or any acoustic bass playing for that matter. Expect electronic beats, synths, bad language and grimy hip-hop type "rapping" (for want of a better word. His vocal style is very unusual and is an aquired taste. I love it)

Jezz8me, whoever compares him to Lilly Allen is a complete tw@t. Whoever compares him to Arctic Monkeys is an even bigger tw@t.

Jamie T sounds NOTHING like either of those two. As I said in my above post, the closest possible thing he can be compared to is The Streets.

But anyway, enough about who he compares to - he is Jamie T and he's blazing his own trail.
