I can't believe no one has replied! This is amazing and tight. That bass player is astounding. I love that type of playing...I need to learn that staccato style with the muting.

So funky. Wish it was longer.

Thanks for posting it. That was awesome.

Band is great.

However, when I read the title, Japanese funk; I thought of this:

YouTube - ‪Manga Japan Bass Boy‬‏

Some things can not be unseen. However, the guy is a great bass player

P.S. Sorry to highjack your thread so early.

The OP's post is pretty sweet. I really like the guitar player wearing the fro.

I definitely can't unsee that...he is one hell of a bass player though. He needs to get a whole band together so they can play shows dressed as the Golden Girls.

Yeah, those guys are good. This is a subject you don't often see here on TB...

I recommend Bazra: YouTube - ‪
Youtube doesn't have very much and what it does have isn't the cream of the crop. Check out their album "Switch".

This is from Japan, too.
It's kind of funky, I guess, but not, like, funk. More like zeuhl.

Try it, though. You might like it. It's fun.
