this guy has been one of my favorite bassists for a long time now, pretty much ever since i got into HWM. i think he goes unrecognized as one of the best punk rock bassists out there. i got to see HWM once before they broke up. i secured a spot directly in front of him and watched him wail for the whole show. he lays down some complex, but fitting bass lines without being too flashy.

listen to "Turnstile" and "Blackjaw" and you'll see what i mean.

I absolutely love Hot Water Music. Them and Small Brown Bike are two of my top bands.

Hell yea. Def one of my favorite bassists. Definatly one of the best all time punk bassists, even though most punk bassists are not the most technical of players so this is not the greatest accomplishment in the world of bass. But still, the man rips on bass. Moonpies for misfits and the first song on No Division are 2 great examples of his great finger-playing style.

He now plays in Senses Fail, what a shame! Although great for him because Id play for just about any band to keep playing music after doing it for so long like him.

yeah i thought it was kind of strange that he's playing for Senses Fail now. talk about a downgrade. i guess he's probably making pretty good cash doing what he loves though, so more power to him.
