That I can believe, though it does specifically say "bass head". |

I had a tear in my bicep tendon and had surgery to have it reattached. I was doing a steady show, Tony & Tina's Wedding in San Francisco at the time and missed ten weeks. My sub was a happy camper.

I'm sure he kicked himself later for realizing that he could probably buy 12 more of them, even if it broke, and still have his shoulder...

But seriously, dudes, all the best for Newsted.

10-24-2006, 06:56 PM
| | | | Sure, he could've purchased a butt-load more of them SVTs, but then we'd be forgetting that musicians are just as quirky as athletes: they all have their 'special' gear, jinxed gear, 'lucky' gear, etc. The only rationale I can come up with is that the particular head he was trying to save was one of the ones he deemed "special" or something.
Well, why else would anyone allow himself to be smacked around by a 90 lb piece of machine?

Hopefully he recovers fast. That can be a rough surgery to recover from. |

My favourite work of Jason's would have to be the epic piece of thrash known as Doomsday for the Deciever, by Flotsam & Jetsam. Fantastic album, especially cool cause jason wrote over 80% of it...

I wonder, did it happen halfway thru a song while he was carrying a bass? That'll be painful having a 90 lb head fall on you and possibly rip your bass up.
Anyways, get well soon Jase!! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
