And after the black album came out my mom became a member of the fan club, still is. We saw a few shows together in the early 90s when the setlist was still mostly pre Black Album.

Remember it is Metallica so the language is going to be pretty foul. http://www.geocities.com/hetfieldinter/metplayboy.html
PS: Page 6 when Ulrich is talking about the girls and what some of the members contracted....gross...

...I think I’ll miss the wackiness he gave us on film with the guys. I always think about Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica video where James is picking on him for making sandwiches from the catering food at the concert; and packing them to take with him to save money. I believe he was going to buy his own state or something, I bet he could just about do it by now.

Check that out. Jason takes (at least) 10 full minutes out of his busy schedule to talk to some random guy with a camera. Totally down to earth and super cool about it. Jason rocks

They were talking about him trying to release his echobrain record and james holding him back. The anger was 100% justified but its just not something I expected to see from him! |

OMG, YOU ARE SO FUNNY!!
Listen, clown, I'm entitled to my opinion just like the rest of you. I thought he sucked in Metallica, but he does one hell of a job in Voivod.
P.S. Don't get so hissy about da innanetz.

But I just don't like them heavy downstrokes.
OK OK whatever. BACK to the thread!

Thanks for posting that interview. As a long time Metallica fanatic I found it very interesting.
Jason is not Cliff. Still, he had his own voice and was probably the biggest influence on me picking up a bass. I am a fan and I am sorry that the issues couldn't be worked out.
Having said that, I am excited to see what the Trujillo era Metallica can do with Rick Rubin. Scratch that, I am very excited.
