I just picked up marcus millers new cd, silver rain. I love it. I'm looking for more bassists that play the same type of music that Marcus does, please feel free to list any.

Oskar Cartaya has been described as a latin Marcus Miller(in a Bass Player Magazine CD review). His solo album is definetly worth checking out.

That guy's sound is very close to Marcus Miller's, even with a rosewood board and EMG pickups.
You can find him here http://www.mullennium.com

And speaking of Funky bass players check out Meshell Ndegeocello all her stuff is awesome, but her early CD's are real funky.
