I had the great pleasure of seeing two of my favorite bassists last night in my home town Modesto CA. Jean is the man first of all and Nuclear Rabbit is the shizzle, I love these guys really excited about a new CD maybe next year, Oh ya Jean I'm gay for Nuclear Rabbit ....haha you had to be there. What a great show Jimbo is a great great player as well who will be putting out a solo disk soon He is a good freind of mine as well as all the players in Dirtfire (happy b-day ALEX), these guys are a force to be WRCKND with for sure, trust me you will hear more of this band in the future sheck out there website Dirtfire.com. What an incredible show last night, my good friends kicked ass, Jean's solo set was awesome, and Nuclear Rabbit played for like an hour and a half, Oh ya and I met Stew Mckinsey a great player in his own right. If you were there you know what a night it was for bass players as well as musicians alike, if you weren't there check these guys out you will dig them for sure.

I've known Jimbo for over 10 years, He is truly a monster player. If he only thought he is as good as he really is. I remember doing 2 bass and drums versions of rush tunes with him in a buddies living room, awesome!!!!! Why isn't he on TB????? Riley, if you see him tell him John says hi and to get his ass on TB!!

We all know how great Jean and Stew are, but it's nice to see Jimbo getting a shout out, he just had a baby too!!!!

Ya he just had a child a couple of months ago, I will tell him you said Hi. I have heard him do a couple Rush tunes with Alex the drummer in Dirtfire, the first time they ever jammed they did La Vila Strangiato, and I have seen them do it a couple of times then since then. Jimbo is really modest and one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Unfortunately he is not to computer Savy though so he doesn't get on here much. But I will tell him you said hi, he will be putting out a solo disk soon so look forward to that and check out Dirtfire his band, you can find them on myspace to hear some of there songs.

Doesn't that guy have internet info? I remember that jimbo fella from a NAMM video a couple of years ago, and he set a benavente's fingerboard on fire with super sharp tapping licks.
