Jeff Ament!!

HI,

I haven't seen a Jeff Ament thread in a while (or maybe I just don't look hard enough) but he is probably in my top 10 Favorite Bassists. I see him as an under-rated bassist, which he shouldn't be. Yeah he doesn't do a 5 minute solo, but he has a solid foundation and some really nice lines. How many of you can play a 12-string(well I dont no if its that hard or not...)? I also love his basses (sweet Modulus' and Fenders and Hamers and this that I posted in the Basses section http://giventowail.com/gear/images/guitars/jag.jpg)

PJ Forever!

The 12er's look a whole lot scarier to play than they really are.

I just recently got back into some older pearl jam records again. I didn't realise how underrated he is. I also managed to get an album by an earlier band he was in called Green River. Absolutely awesome player. Now I have them on high rotation.

I toured the country playing Hamer 12-strings for most of the 90s. Had a string deal with them til they were bought out by Kaman. Sold one of my 12s when the band broke up but I still have one.
Does that count?
