Vs, Binaural and No Code all have their moments, but the beautiful fretless on Oceans, the seminal 12-string on Jeremy (it's become THE 8- or 12-string riff, kinda the multi-string bass equivalent of Stairway To Heaven), the driving riffs on Why Go, fretless rock and sliding harmonics on Even Flow... he's never topped them. |

| | | | IMO VS is their best album, not only from a bass playing point of view but also for the songs.
The new one is actually quite good in terms of playing but the tone is not so good as in other aalbums. |

| | | | Avocado has great playing, but its mostly buried in the mix. I would say that Yield is my favourite Jeff wise. The bridge of Brain of J, all Faithful, the soft fragility of Pilate, the weird groove in Pull me, Push me are all great.

I agree with the Avocardo being somewhat lacking in it's bass - but it's still their strongest in about a decade in my opinion.
VS and Ten tend to have more stand-out bass. I actually prefer VS personally, it still has the 12 string bass in and also has more groove than Ten. |

He drives "Go" and "Animal", not to mention "Rearviewmirror"; "W.M.A." and "Rats" are owned by bass hooks. He breaks out the EUB on "Daughter" and "Elderly", and the amazingly understated work on "Indifference" is a career highlight.

couldn't agree more. I think this is actually Pearl Jams best record start to finish. |

| | | | Speaking of vs does anyone have any idea what he used on like Go and Blood its a really crazy bright sound. Almost like a wal or ric. And yeah that is my favorite one just for those two songs. The bass sounds awesome huge shrill and pretty all the same time. |

| | | | Advocado is their new album? I thought it was self-titled.....anyhow if it is it is a very good album although the mix is sort of "dirty" |

Clayton - Avocado is the fan name for the new, self-titled album due to the cover. I agree, it is the rawest Pearl Jam album ever, and in so many ways I love it for that. |
