You can hear Jaco in Jeff's playing as much as you can hear Jaco in Tom Kennedy's, Tal's, or anyone else's playing... |

I've got some recordings of Andrews with Mike Stern made at about the same time and a little earlier (Upside/Downside and Jigsaw, to name them), and he's not ripping any Jaco fills in the supporting parts.
I find no foul... |

not a clone though. not everyone who likes a punchy bridge pickup is a jaco clone. very, very influenced though- he used to study with jaco. |

Berlin definitely excels in the more Rock-Fusion things.
Kennedy's swing/upright/"legit"/Latin chops may be better than Berlin's.
Both sound great in trios led by Fusion guitarists.

I have a lot of respect for Jeff's playing. |

I love Jeff's (Andrews) playing, seen him a few times live. He's a killer. IMHO |

Somewhere my wires got crossed between Posts 5 & 6...I need to lay off the Blue Moons during the week.
That said, I think Andrews is great...& does not get mentioned enough.
