tours like that are about money, not necessarily about band chemistry. henderson/berlin/chambers isnt something that im dying to hear personally, but would likely sell tickets well in other countries.

Yeah, sure. We all know Scott Henderson's all about money. That's why he plays such accessible music.

heres another one. i was at the lavelee a while back checking out kinseys group. it was either gary novak or ronald bruner jr on drums, i cant remember. but, they were talking about convington backing out of their gig because he got a better paying casual. guys still have to get paid.

whos going to sell more tickets outside of the us? henderson/john humphrey/alan hertz or henderson/jeff berlin/dennis chambers. id rather hear the first lineup play scott's originals with a band sound than the second play mysterious traveler and stratus.

you lose your street cred although you might end up living on the street playing this nerdy-ass music.

I guess the OP thought that the fact that Berlin got an artsy gig of some kind is supposed to put the naysayers in their place?

Whatever.

yeah, whatever. You rarely hear anyone who's a good player putting down other musicians in public. Joe Duran is an exception I guess...

he's not playing straight ahead with scott though (as you well know).

But you're a good player and I respect your viewpoint. When someone who can't play over stella by starlight says that berlin's not any good, it's just a bit odd. To me anyway. I know everyone has a right to their own opinion and all...
