Jeff Walker and Ken Owen grooves [who are they?]

a lot of times people forget the UK's Carcass's Jeff Walker (bass, vox) and original drummer Ken Owen. That band really did usher in a new type of extreme metal groove with the double bass drum really mimicking the riffs, that is used widely today. Like Pantera they also "all hit together like a machine" as Vinnie said once. very enjoyable and severely underrated. Unfortunately a few years ago Ken was stricken by a severe stroke but fortunately he lives today and is still close friends with Jeff and making music in his own computer-assisted ways.

If you like metal then repeat three times loudly after me "Ken Owens Kicks Arse!"

Jeff (far left) and Ken (far right)

The first two tracks here are must-listens, the third is an awesome bonus one. tracks are from '96, '91, '93 respectively.

Excellent band. I saw them at Wacken 2008 for the reunion concert and Ken Owen came and tried to play the intro to "Corporal Jigsore Quandary" which he did pretty slow, but everybody there were very happy and excited to see him and cheered him very loudly; as he left the stage Jeff Walker just said: "Don't mind him, He's just Drunk"
