Question Jeremy Davis - Paramore - bass tuning

Sign in to disble this ad
hey all,

anyone know what tuning jeremy davis from paramore uses??

he only uses a 4 string (most of the time) and still hits pretty low notes...

i was thinking i could've just been D-A-D-G but i think its even lower than a low D...

thanks anyone...

They tune to drop D half a step down. So that would be:

C# G# C# F#

What's the difference between big muff pi and the russian big muff? Other than the obvious.

The Russian muff sounds a bit darker. It also works a bit better with bass as it doesn't cut your low frequencies.

Yeah they use drop D on a few songs, DADG. Most songs they drop the whole bass down a whole step or half step to get either a drop C# or a drop C. You might also wanna try thicker strings as thinner strings will flop like nobodys business when tuned down that low.

The Russian Sounds less harsh and allows more bass.

I'm almost sure that he uses a B string, like: BEAD...
