Best of all time.... does not exist since we cannot be aware ( yet) of all time ,...however...

there is NO DOUBT in my military mind that the young Mr. Hendrix could quite readily feel the groove down low and put down a bassline from his soul to rival all.....

and to compare him to anyone who had the priviledge of time to allow their musicianship to grow is, well,
intellectually spurious at best and feels unkind to Jimi. He dont sit up there and compare hisself with us, now does he!?

Although I understand that technically, many newer guitarists can "trounce" Hendrix, I feel that he has something they can't touch.

Feel.

If you think about it on a note to note comparison, Hendrix has waaay more "notes that sound good" to "# of notes played".

He didn't need all those filler notes.

All Along the Watchtower and I think Have You Ever Been (To Electric Ladyland). Yeah, 2 songs sure is "Most" of a double album, as so many people like to say. Noel continues to be underrated. Although I think Jack Casady's one contribution was the best performance by a bassist on that album.
