| | | | I'm also from Michigan and am always AMAZED by some of the local talent that's in my county, alone! Forget how big the world is because you really don't have to travel far to realize how much you really don't know.
Thanks for sharing. |

| | | Yeah those guys are all pretty beastly musicians. I'm amazed at times with how consistently great they are. Here's another if you're interested: http://youtu.be/mdgSfRocpj4 |

Kid absolutely kills it.
Now that he is getting more exposure - and just about every tune he plays on has the essential bass booty magic...
I know how tough it is out there even for stellar bassists to land big gigs - but just take a look at this dude: He has the look too.
basskidd - thanks for that transcription! Killer job. I can play it if I cut out half of the notes! lol.
Also, just added Vulfpeck "It Gets Funkier" to my favorites bar - now everytime a musician or captive audience is here - one click to funkaliciousness!
(Plus his name is pretty cool |

Very cool.
Love how easily connected this world is sometimes.... |

He has talent and obvious dedication; but the thing that will take him to the top is...(no, not as I said before - "the look" - but you've got to agree that can't hurt)...
...It has to do with how he plays with feeling. He isn't playing the bass; he is making love to it. This video isn't the best example of his playing, but it shows his passion and connection with the music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XftabV9S2z0
Now; I've also seen videos of him that make me realize the time and dedication that he has put in, and I don't envy the long road that he has chosen.
Joe Dart, I wish you all the best and great success.
You, sir, have got "it" |

And Joe Dart is the coolest name I've ever heard. |
