Whatever happened to Joe Hubbard? For years, he was known as a top expatriate American bassist on the London scene. Now, I can't find any references to him online. Does he have a website?

Joe Hubbard, didn't he publish a book of transcriptions of bass lines & solos by STanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Mark King, & Jaco Pastorius...that was *chock* full of mistakes?

there was a mention of him on Basschat-

Yes, I also ran across this site in my search. Is it really the same guy?!? There is absolutely no mention of his musical past, which I understand includes some pretty impressive credentials. He supposedly played with many top British jazz/rock and pop acts of the 1980's.

Jeez, did anyone else missread SFCUK as "selfsuck"?

Oh, and just a thought:

(from the above-cited webpage) "Joe worked the London doors for six years. He worked at such top venues as: The Met Bar, Momo’s, Red Cube, The Rock, Eclipse Bar, The Light Bar, The K Bar, The Road House, as well as many down-market hard core pubs across London. During this time he was in over 150 violent physical encounters."

Wouldn't it be more of an accomplishment (and attract more clients) if you averted over 150 violent physical encounters?

Maybe that's referring to his gig history?
