ok im a big fan of the band fugazi (and meny other bands on dischord records) and i would just like to show some love to one of my favorate(s.p.) bass players

so what is your fave joe lally bassline

personally i love shut the door, break, floating bouy and there to hear (joe solo)

Totally one of my favorite bass players! Too many favorites to name, but on any given song on any Fugazi record he kills it for me.

i still think end hits is one of the best personally

i know alot of people focus on 13 songs or repeater but for me end hits or the arguement are the best fugazi did

joe lally could play a bass thru a kazoo and it would rule.

I agree about End Hits. My bandmates are hung up on Steady Diet of Nothing. It think End Hits is their most consistent record.

No Surprise is one of my favorite tunes (and Lally basslines). Another couple of faves are Closed Captioned and Long Division.

I've never heard any of his solo stuff - I never thought to seek it out. Perhaps I will be seeking some out.

both albums are awesome.. at first i didnt like em cos it wasnt what I was expecting, but once I let go of my expectations and listened for what it was, now I love em!
