Joel DiBartolo?

I have his book "serious electric bass" and I've been told by my teachers here at Humber that it's one of the best books they've seen.
Anyway, who is this guy?! I know he played over 5000 Tonight Shows, but I've never heard any recordings of him.

Does anyone have any with him on the Tonight show? or any band? I'm dying to hear him play!

It's a great book but I don't own it. I used to see him play on the show as a kid. (My parents let me stay up waaay too late!)
