Any fan of Metal knows Manowar, and you either love em or hate em. So who here likes Joey Demaio, I always loved his guitar-like palying and solos. The one thing that annoys me though is that the later albums arent as bassy as Battlle Hymns or Sign of the Hammer.

Also to all posers and falses, LEAVE THE HALL!!!

He's a good guitar player, yes he does use a piccolo bass but he's modded the strings too close together on that infamous "solo" on YouTube.

Manowar fan here

Yeah, I dig these guys and Joey's bass playing. He used to live around the corner from me in Auburn, NY.

I love Manowar, and Joey's a good player and a troo metal character, but I am consistently disappointed by the bass tone and its level in the mix of their tracks.

I like his playing on Black Wind Fire and Steel, where he plays an actual bass (an 8-string, no less). I'm not saying the piccolo bass is not a bass, but the piccolo bass in Joey's hands ends up sounding like a guitar.

im not the biggest fan of manowar, i will admit i like some stuff , its catchy. just because i dont liek the bass player doesnt mean i wont listen to the band, i think if your going to listen to a band you should liten to the whole band. but i dont rly dig the modded piccolo bass ( the string spacing ) and use of distortion on it. they set him in the mix like another guitar, and because of the piccolo/distortion it just sounds like a backing guitar track.

thats just my opinion, im not hating on manowar or joey D, i just wanted to put i my opinion : D
