I caught the Lamb of God 'Sacrament' tour stop in my town last night. Of the 4 bands (Gojira, Machine Head, Trivium and LOG) John Campbell's bass was the only one I could distinguish from the very bottom heavy sound. The venue they played in is notorius for its poor acoustics, but his tone was miles above the rest. On an interesting note, Randy Blythe (LOG vocalist) said it was great to be playing smaller venues (2000 persons, give or take) but the amount of equipment didn't say that at all: Campbell had 8 Mesa 810's and the 2 guit players were sporting 30 Mesa 412 guitar cabs...likely not necessary but visually quite impressive.
