Evening one and all

Was just browsing Queen's early days on YouTube and my goodness cam across a 1974 performance of Liar and Mr. Deacon just let rip with a bass solo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ2HK4eMEfc

Whats up with John now? - I heard he's been keeping a low profile.

That's not really a bass solo, that's just how the bass line *is* in that part of the song...

I don't think he ever really took actual solos, though he has composed and played some amazing bass parts, especially in Queen's early years

Their early albums kicked some serious *** I spent many a night rocking out to them when most of my friends didn't know who they were. "Sheer Heart Attack" is a classic

My early idol and still one of my main inspirations (I've been even pondering upon getting a P-bass lately, lol ;-)).

As far as I know, he's retired from music. Such a shame, actually.

It's a bass solo!

Funny, I just 'rediscovered' this track after ages... Considering putting flats on my P-bass now, what a sound!
