Whatever happened to him ?
No site, no band apparently.
I like his tasteful sideman playing. I played his line again and again.
He actually was important in my learning process.

the first album i bought was the Dire Straits compilation album Money for nothing.

Bassist did an interview with him (it's spelt Illsley) in the late 90's- apparently he's one of the richest musicians in the UK.
he mentioned he often meets up with Mark Knopfler who suggests a possible Dire straits continuation, but they decide not to.
