John Myung

Okay, so John Myung is a big influence for me, especially when he composed a lot of complex basslines in the early days of Dream Theater. The problem is that over the years I've noticed that John Myung offers very little to the writing process, both musically and lyrically. Why is this? Has he gotten "lazy" or too laid back? And why does he only emulate the guitar lines that JP composes now? Meaning he nearly plays some parts note for note.
